Our drill bit installation tool is a great alternative for stake installation. Designed to install snow plow stakes firmly into the ground without having to bend over. Works great on frozen ground and gravel.
The drill bit is a 9/32”-diameter masonry bit that fits inside our 3/8”-diameter “Standard” snow plow stakes. Our 40” drill bit works with our 26”, 32”, and 36” long stakes. Our 50” drill bit works with our 47” long stakes.
To use: Tighten the drill bit into a cordless drill chuck. Sleeve a snow plow stake onto the drill bit until 1” to 2” sticks out the bottom of the stake. Adjust the collar along the bit to allow for the proper length. Drill the bit directly into the ground until the stake is in the ground 4”-6”. Pull the drill bit out from the stake, leaving the stake tightly friction-fit in the ground.
